In September 2000, with the help of employers faced with an acute lack of certifying training courses, and at a time when on-the-job training of technicians and artists of all sorts was the only answer to the increasingly specialized needs of companies in this sector, the Ecole supérieure d’infographie Albert Jacquard (university-level higher education institution) created the Bachelor in Computer Graphics Techniques. This was the first specialized training of this kind in Belgium.

If the situation has somewhat evolved with the arrival on the market of young graduates trained by the Ecole supérieure d’infographie Albert Jacquard, it can still be said that specialists who work in computer graphics companies have massively learnt their job as this one was being invented.

By massively resorting to the best of these pioneers, the Ecole supérieure d’infographie Albert Jacquard has created a training that meets the challenges of today: to graduate young creative designers with high-level skills in the graphic as well as technical fields. These designers cannot content themselves with pushing buttons: they must be perfectly aware of the technical constraints of the industry in which they are working, and finally also be capable of fitting into a multidisciplinary team and to abide by financial requirements.
