A New Era in I/O Performance

PCI Express 3.0 bidirectional, point-to-point serial interconnect, capable of high-bandwidth data transfers up to 32Gb/s on a x8 or x16 connector. The A08S3-PS has built RAID controller inside, using external PCI Express 3.0 it is able to achieve a direct connection to the host with no delay or conversion unlike fibre solutions. This powerhouse delivers up to 1950MB/swith 8x SSDs in RAID 5 protection.

Low overhead, low latency data transfers, both host-directed and peer-to-peer transfers. The A08S3-PS features a direct connection to the PCI Express bus, utilizing the fast PCIe infrastructure to connect directly to the host computer. This direct link eliminates latency introduced by the conversion of other interfaces to PCI Express, and provides superior bandwidth, availability and deployment flexibility as opposed to earlier-generation iSCSI and Fibre Channel technology.

With PCIe to Thunderbolt 2 Converter(C1M), the A08S3-PS achieves sustained speeds of up to1349MB/s that turbocharge 4K workflows, file transfers, or backups.

The most reliable data streaming

Equalization and Disk Lag Proof Technology optimizes the best transfer size and timing between the RAID controller cache and the host machine. This eliminates performance drops and maximizes the sustained data rate. Data transfer performance is smooth and reliable. it also helps to maintain a continuously smooth transfer rate over the whole capacity of the RAID. This technology is ideal for video editors who need sustained playback, and can't risk dropping frames.

SSD OR HDD (SATA/SAS)
This external RAID storage solution features the ability to accept both 3.5″ and 2.5″ SSD/SAS/SATA HDDs.
3.5″ SATA/SAS HDDs give users higher capacities, whereas 2.5″ SSDs give users faster performance.

Managing, Monitoring and Reporting

The RAID Manager software gives you a centralized, powerful way to configure and monitor all the A08S3-PS that are connected to a single workstation. From one application, you can control the RAID mode, system monitoring, and email alerts. Select RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, or JBOD. RAID Manager even supports RAID migration, so you can move from RAID 5 on 4 disks to RAID 5 on 8 disks without data loss. And system monitoring can alert you of problems or potential problems via desktop notifications or email, so you can address issues before they result in data loss.
